The power of ultrasound

Ultrasound is a medical imaging technique that uses sound waves to produce real-time imaging of structures inside the body, helping identify the cause of symptoms.

Unlike X-rays or CT scans, ultrasound does not use radiation. It is quicker and more accessible than MRI, providing immediate insight during the examination.

// What to expect

During the scan, you'll be asked to lie down or sit comfortably while a small amount of water-based gel is applied to the skin. A handheld probe is then moved gently over the area being examined to capture real-time ultrasound imaging.

You may occasionally be asked to adjust your position or briefly hold your breath to improve image quality.

"My shoulder had been troubling me for a while. I went to the NHS and they said they could not help me. I was recommended Ultrascan by my daughter and after phoning them, I got an appointment right away. My appointment went well and Bradley explained everything and gave me my diagnosis, which they printed out for me.. I went to my physio and gave them the report, I was given exercises which specifically targeted my shoulder pain and I am felling much better."
